I am an artist living in Dallas, TX.

Lately, I find myself gravitating toward trees and landscapes, and exploring the effect that trees can have when they are stripped of the colors with which we associate them- and the form, texture and lighting become detailed and exposed. With ballpoint pen, I’m taking something we use every day- a "throw-away" object- and connecting it to something ancient that we are so deeply tied to: our beautiful trees.

My dream-world also gives me much to work with, and I do my best to reflect what I’m given. I believe that our subconscious provides images, and if we can pay attention, those images can be re-formed based on our perception and choice. My art practice is a discipline that brings me back to a fundamental: I have choice in this life, and instead of just going through the motions, I can create. This leads me on a path of joy each time.
